| CARMEN | MOD Makeup Academy | STEPHSYT

What is Summer without a party?!

My friend Carmen turned 18 last month and of course I am going to make the 'you're legal!!' joke. Anyways we threw a part at a place called MOD Makeup Academy and they are a makeup school located in Central, Hong Kong. They offer a wide range of makeup and hairstyling courses taught by professional makeup artists. Definitely go check it out! Here is their Facebook page.

It was an amazing day as we had our makeup done by makeup artists (scroll down for pictures!) and it was nice catching up with friends that I haven't seen for so many years. I also had the chance to be Carmen's photographer and videographer- still debating whether I should put the video up here?

I'm sure you guys wouldn't want a jpeg. overload so I only chose the best. In case you're wondering:  taken with a  Canon 700D and edited with  Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

Also made this fun edit just because <3

| ALL AT ONCE | +updates

Ello Ello,

Long time no talk guys. To be honest I don't really know where to start...

As you may have know, I started YouTube recently. Although I may have uploaded my first video very recently, I actually started to film videos since early July, so it all began very early. My thoughts? I am loving and enjoying every bit of it- but (there is a but), sometimes it just gets a wee bit too much. As much as I'd like to post as much on this blog AND on my YouTube, it is not happening. Well, let's put this in another way: whilst I want to upload quality videos on YouTube, I can't post quality posts here on Blogger- it works either way. It's hard to juggle between these two platforms, because both of them are equally as important to me, and so are you guys- my readers and subscribers (cheesy much) not to mention other social media like Instagram and Twitter. I finally understand why people turn to full-time bloggers and youtubers. It's honestly very difficult to do everything at once. I guess that's one of the explanations why I haven't been too active on my blog, and I guess I'll stop rambling now.

(p.s. this outfit is featured in one of my styling videos on YouTube! Click HERE to watch.)

| SEVENTEENYINYANGS #4 | AUG15

Nope, not the outfit. It's the magazine I'm talking about. I always see people post pictures of the Kinfolk magazine on instagram and always wondered what's the craze all about. I reckon it's time for me to check it out.

For me, this summer is all about that 'au naturel' look. How about you guys?

This is not my sketch. But I went to a fashion illustration course recently and it was so. fun. This picture kinda reminded me of it.

It's never easy to find your own style. You see all these amazing trends on magazines and different sorts of social media and you end up spending loads of money on clothing that will only last you a season- we all go through that phase, and I've learnt my lesson. I'm not even joking but I spent a good few days rummaging through my closet/ wardrobe and cleared out a big, big bag of clothing

I've kept my wardobe very minimal this summer, and I now buy clothes that I can confidently tell myself "Right, I think this will last me a good few seasons, or even a good few years!"

My sunglasses collection is growing- 3 pairs added to my collection now!

I dyed my hair pink this summer, and since then I just can't get over how *ahem* pretty the colour pink is. You can see my pink hair HERE.

Love these models. Love their outfits even more. As I mention in the previous picture I am keeping my wardrobe minimal. The key to having a minimal wardrobe is having monochromatic pieces!

July has been a super busy month for me. So is August (and it has only started). I am trying out a lot of different things e.g. YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2MwvCZ8zN6TphmGYbgnjvA)  and just hoping that they will all work out.

Ahh yes. So I have been a busy bee. And did I ever say that I can't handle stress? I've been over-thinking quite a lot and I know that's totally unnecessary. Just my personal trait.

So... that lace-up shoe trend (surprise surprise) is still on! I just saw a pair from Zara and omg...they were gorgeous. Still pondering whether I should get them or save up my money and get a pair of chelsea boots. (help needed)

| BOHO BABE |

The Seventies trend is one of the hottest trend in the fashion industry right now- I never thought I would one day, like this trend, and even wear this trend on my body. My Textiles coursework last year was based on the 70's and I guess I just got so sick with the whole 70's thing. But guess what, I am starting to like it.

If you follow me on instagram (@stephsyt), you might have seen me posting many pictures but with the same old outfit again and again. Why? Because I like it. Ha.

If you have seen me in real person, I am actually quite big and tall. But this dress from Sheinside (http://www.shein.com/Navy-Long-Sleeve-V-Neck-Embroidered-Dress-p-215822-cat-1727.html?utm_source=www.theimstephyt.com&utm_medium=blogger&url_from=theimstephyt) is perfect because it just is the right length and the details are just beautiful. I love how loose-fitting (covers the food baby!) and light it is on my body and it's just the perfect dress whether for running errands or brunch with girls or a dinner date- all in all a perfect summer dress for any occasion. (ok I'll stop being so 'hard-selling').

Pictures by my sister :)

I'll also be doing a Lookbook on the 70's trend on my YouTube- subscribe to my channel for the latest updates! Stay tuned!
